The College has a National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit Since 1982, providing students a great number of opportunities. The objective of NSS is personality development through community service. Following are some information regarding NSS....

  • i) NSS activities include community service through various citizen awareness camp, health camp, blood donation camp, adoption of Model village, environment protection and plantation, disaster management, village sanitation, literacy programme and all such work that contributes to community development.
  • ii) The students under the banner of NSS Unit get the opportunity to perform in National and International events. They can participate Republic Day Parade, National Integration Camp, Personality Development Camp, National Youth Festival, Youth Excahnge Programme with Foreign Countries, Adventure Camp etc. Over the years, a number of students have been sent to participate the above noted programmes from the college.
  • iii) NSS Volunteers are eligible for Indira Gandhi National Award which has National recognition, for outstanding service to community development.
  • IV) There is quota for NSS Volunteers in all Universities for admission purpose.
  • V) Under the banner of college NSS Unit one of our student Jintu Kalita visited China on Government of India NSS Youth Exchange Programme.
